La Haute Cuisine was established in 1979 and was originally based at Wests Centre on the site of the old cinema. In the year 2000 the business was relocated to Temple Court, St John and more recently, in 2022, moved to it's current location: The Studio, Les Sapins, Rue de L'Etocquet, St John,

The Company is owned and run by Howard Thompson who handles all the design work of kitchens and bedrooms. With over 43 years experience in the business, he offers a design service to suit all budgets and tastes. 

Howard now operates the business on a strictly "By appointment only" basis. This means that he can tailor discussions on design and installation to suit client timetables without the interruptions often encountered in showroom environments.

Having designed and installed many kitchens over the years, including those from Poggenpohl,

SieMatic, Sneidero, Chalon and Mark Wilkinson, it occurred to Howard that, as good as all the previous makes were, customers were limited to what was available in each manufacturer's brochure. So, the decision was made to order doors from a variety of specialised door manufacturers, giving a choice of hundreds of different styles, colours, shapes and textures. Fitting these doors onto one of the best quality carcasses in a variety of colours, introducing Blum soft close drawer runners and hinges and being able to choose handles from a wide range of suppliers, make for an entirely unique kitchen or bedroom.
